STEP 1: HEALTH IS ALL ABOUT BODY CHEMISTRY


Maintaining a slightly alkaline pH is key to preventing disease. The body’s Ph is something that the Inner Harmony Wellness health program measures and works to improve as the first step for every patient.

The human body is an indivisible, integrated organism; not a collection of unrelated parts.

If your body’s pH is too low, it becomes difficult for various enzymes to function properly. Maintaining this slightly alkaline state is a constant challenge. Why? Primarily because of the acid-forming functions that take place as a result of the overabundance of acid-producing foods we consume.

Optimum health begins with diligence toward restoring and maintaining an ideal pH. Toxic acidity has been linked to the formation of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis.

Step 2: ELIMINATE CHRONIC INFECTIONS NATURALLY


The reality is that there is a myriad of chronic infections, many too complex to uniquely describe. Chronic infections are insidious in nature. The immune system is incapable of fighting them off, as a result of which the infective agent can become entrenched in the system. Often the symptoms of chronic infection are not even noticeable, but they tend to grow and cause potentially life-threatening or quality of life degrading situations with time. Taking care of infections as early as possible is therefore of paramount importance. If you have an active, defined chronic infection, such as HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, bladder infections, urinary tract infections, and others, then you must take action immediately.

Your action must be clearly defined in two areas: first, finding a solution to the infection and second, changing the body’s environment that is helping it harbor the infection without fighting it off. If you do not know of any active infections, then it still makes sense to understand how you can prevent the occurrence of chronic infections. Read ahead to learn more. Infections, in general, are a group of conditions characterized by an immune system whose defenses have been breached. A healthy immune system is fighting off infective agents all the time, often without us even noticing.

We are under constant attack from bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites. Acute infections are those when the defenses get breached, but the immune system responds actively. After a brief battle, the immune system is typically victorious, and in many cases, antibodies formed from the exposure can protect the individual for certain periods of time from future infections. Chronic infections are scenarios where the immune system fails to respond to the infective agent – for many possible reasons. It can cause inflammation of tissues that we may, or may not, be able to feel but which can have long term deleterious effects.

Even though these chronic infections don’t always cause overt symptoms, they still tax the body and can cause nutritional deficiencies, stress on the adrenal glands, and on the immune system as a whole. Chronic infection can affect and weaken the immune system resulting in many serious disorders. Chronic infection can also reduce the body’s ability to respond to pathogenic organisms, tumors, or tissue damage. Chronic infections may get worse, lead to death, be cured, remain dormant, or require continual monitoring. However, the vast majority of chronic infections go unnoticed.

Step 3: DETOXIFYING THE BODY IS ESSENTIAL TO LONG-TERM HEALTH


While we may not even know it, we face an onslaught of toxins every day. In the past 60 years, we’ve seen more toxins enter our environment than ever before. Toxins lodge in cells, tissues, and muscles until your body is completely overwhelmed. What is the effect of decades of toxins that have been accumulating in each successive generation? In July 2005 a new study shattered the long-held belief that fetuses in the womb were protected from the dangerous chemicals and poisons that the mother was exposed to. Samples of blood taken from the umbilical cord of newborns contained an average of 200 chemicals that can cause cancer, brain damage, birth defects, and other serious illness.

We also know that a fetus inherits the infections (systemic yeast and viral infections) found in his/her mother’s blood. Because each successive generation is inheriting the toxins of the previous generations, we are seeing earlier and earlier cases of diabetes, obesity, ADD, autism, cancers, etc. We believe this missing link of toxicity has led to the worst epidemic of chronic diseases in the history of man that we are currently experiencing in our world.
